Household & Structural Pests (E)

  • European Earwig: The most common earwig species known to invade residential areas.

Garden & Agricultural Pests (E)

  • Elm Leaf Beetle: Beetles that defoliate elm trees, causing them to turn brown prematurely.
  • European Chafer: Beetle grubs that feed on the roots of turfgrass, leading to widespread lawn damage.
  • Eastern Tent Caterpillar: Caterpillars that build large, silky webs (tents) in tree branches, defoliating cherry, apple, and ornamental trees.

Arachnids & Others (E)

  • Engraver Beetles (Bark Beetles): Beetles that tunnel into tree bark, creating unique “engraved” patterns as they feed and breed.

Quick Tip: Earwigs are primarily attracted to moisture. Sealing foundation cracks and ensuring good drainage around the home exterior can prevent indoor invasions.
