One of the distinguishing features of tarantulas is their dense and often colorful body hair, known as setae. These hairs serve various purposes, including sensory perception, defense, and assisting in capturing prey. Tarantulas also possess fangs used to inject venom into their prey, as well as multiple pairs of eyes, typically ranging from six to eight.
